Gymnastics for Girls

Our GYMFIT Girls recreational gymnastics program helps young athletes develop strength, coordination, flexibility, balance and confidence through structured gymnastics training. Participants learn fundamental skills on all women’s artistic gymnastics events, including:

  • Vault
  • Uneven Bars
  • Balance Beam
  • Floor Exercise

Gymnastics builds a strong foundation for all sports while teaching essential life skills like focus, discipline, and perseverance. Whether your child is new to the sport or building on existing skills, GYMFIT helps them reach their full potential—in and out of the gym!

GYMFIT Intro | Levels 1 & 2
Jr 6-8 yrs | Sr 9-14 yrs

This introductory program is perfect for girls aged 6 and up who are new to gymnastics or have completed Tumblin’ Tigers or Advanced Tumblin’ Tigers. It’s the first step in the CANGYM level system.

Classes focus on warm-ups and beginner skills across all events, using safe, progressive instruction. Students develop proper technique in a fun, supportive environment, building a strong foundation for future growth.

Pre-requisite: None

Recommendation: 1 or 2x per week.

Girls GYMFIT | Levels 3 & 4
Jr 6-8 yrs | Sr 9-14 yrs

This program builds on foundational skills by further developing full-body strength, flexibility, and coordination. Participants will be introduced to new gymnastics elements across all Olympic events, including handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and more. The curriculum focuses on enhancing balance, body control, and overall athleticism to prepare gymnasts for more advanced levels.

Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Level 2

Recommendation: 1.5 hr class, 1 or 2x per week

Advanced GYMFIT | Levels 5 & 6
Jr 6-8 yrs | Sr 9 -14 yrs

This advanced program accelerates skill development through focused training in conditioning, flexibility, and technical mastery of skills like walkovers and round-offs. With higher expectations, progressing may take multiple testing periods.

Participants build confidence through dedication, hard work, and achieving challenging skills.

Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Level 4

Recommendation: 1.5 hr class, 2x per week

GYMSTARS | Levels 7+
Jr 7-9 yrs | Sr 10-14 yrs

This extra advanced program develops higher level skills with a focus on technique, conditioning and attention to detail.  Gymnasts learn Junior Olympic level routines, participate in an in-house fun competition, (required) and potentially can prepare for competitive gymnastics with goal-setting and discipline.  Testing is 2X per year in this program as more time is needed to develop more advanced skills. 

Pre-requisite:  Level 7 or coach recommendation

Recommendation: 2 hr class, 2 or 3x per week

Requirement: Gymstars bodysuit, Competition Fee  -due at registration

Teen GYMFIT

13 - 17 yrs

This co-ed class provides a fun, structured environment for teens to build strength, flexibility, and gymnastics skills at their own pace. Each session includes a warm-up, conditioning, and training on all events—plus tumbling, trampoline, and more. Students progress through our leveled skill system while staying active, gaining confidence, and making new friends in the gym.

Pre-requisite: none

Recommendations: 1 or 2 classes per week

Boys Advanced GYMFIT Levels 5-6

Jr 6–8 yrs | Sr 9-14 yrs

This advanced recreational program is designed for boys who are ready to take their skills to the next level in a fun, focused environment. Athletes will work on more challenging skills and combinations across all men’s gymnastics events, while building strength, improving technique, and developing body control. The class emphasizes safe progressions, consistency, and confidence, helping gymnasts grow both physically and mentally as they advance.

Pre-requisite: Successful completion of Levels 3 & 4 or coach recommendation
Recommended Schedule: 1.5-hour class, 1–2 times per week
