All Star Policies & Procedures

Scheduling of Classes
  • Classes are ongoing and run from July – June each year.
  • Classes have a monthly start and end date.
  • Our classes always run while day camps are running. 
  • All months include 4 weeks of classes.
  • Most holidays are not included in the class monthly fees.
  • For holidays or events that are included, makeup classes are scheduled in advance.  View Calendar of Months
  • If your child moves or advances to a class with a longer class time, you may need to change your day and time and pay the difference in fees. This applies even if you have pre-paid for the season.  Fees will be adjusted.
  • Payments are made online through the Member Login on our website 
  • Pay by Credit Card – Automatic Monthly Withdrawal 
  • Pay by Pre-Authorized Debit  – arrange in person 
  • Full Season Payment by Credit Card or Debit – is in person 
  • We do not accept cash payments, as a safety precaution
  • Monthly payments are due on the 1st of each month.
  • All registrations for classes require a 2 month minimum.
  • At registration, we require the 1st month’s fees plus the Gymnastics Ontario Registration (insurance) and Admin Fee of $55.00.
  • The GO Fee  is valid from July 1st – June 30th of each year). The GO Fee cannot be prorated.
  • Class Fees are non-refundable after the start of the first class.
  • Camp Fees are refundable only 2 weeks prior to the first camp day or PA Day.
  • Monthly Fees will be posted to your account one week before the first of the following month. An email reminder notification will be sent to you one week in advance. Monthly fees are automatically charged to your credit card on file or debited from your bank account if you have selected the pre-authorized payment option.
  • Payments may also be made by logging in to your account online.
  • NSF payments will be subject to an automatic $25.00 fee plus applicable taxes.
  • lFor any monthly fees not received by the 1st of the month, a $10.00 late fee per week will apply.
  • If fees are not received in full by the end of the first week of the month, your child will be restricted from participating in classes.  You will be notified by phone or email and if necessary, by the coach.
  • All payments still unprocessed by the 15th of the month will result in your child’s suspended membership and you will forfeit their spot in the class. 
  • There are no credits or refunds for missed classes, camps or PA Days, for illness, injury or other personal reasons. 
  • There are no refunds or credits for classes or camp days cancelled due to inclement weather. 
  • Makeup classes are offered for
    • Classes missed due to a holiday that is included in fees 
    • Classes missed that are rescheduled due to an All Star Events (i.e. competitions).
  • There are no refunds for classes that fall on a holiday that are not included in the fees.

  • Makeup classes are pre-arranged for specific dates and cannot be rescheduled.  View Calendar of Months
  • If a class, camp or PA day is closed, moved or canceled by All Star Sports Centre, unrelated to weather, a credit or refund will be available within 30 days.
  • The Registration Fee is always non- refundable. 
  • Changes to classes may be made up to 48 hrs (weekdays) prior to the start of the first class
  • Minimum enrolment for classes is 3 months
  • To withdraw your child from their class(es), an email must be received on or before the 15th of the month, for cancellation of classes, taking effect the next month.
  • Changes to a camp week or PA Day must be made 2 weeks (weekdays) prior to the start of the camp or camp day via email.  
  • If the registration took place up to 11 days within the days of cancellation period, you may request a refund  by email,  no less than 72 hrs in advance. 
  • Registrations made within 3 days of the start of a Camp Week or PA Day, are non refundable.
  • A $20.00 administration fee applies to all classes and full week camps
  • A $10.00 administration fee applies to all PA Day Camps. 
  • All cancellation requests must be done by email.  No verbal cancellations will be accepted. 

Weekday Classes

Daytime Classes 9:00am – 4:00pm If school buses in peel are cancelled during the day, All Star recreational programs are also automatically cancelled during the day. If schools are closed, there will likely be no evening classes however, check your email and our social media pages FB and Instagram for regular updates.

Evening Classes 4:00pm – 9:00pm conditions will be reassessed, and an update will be posted on our website and on our Facebook and Instagram pages by 2 pm.  Please LIKE US on Facebook and Follow Us on Instagram for regular updates.

Weekend Classes

Information will be sent by email and posted social media pages Facebook and Instagram pages by 8am and 12pm.

  • If there are extenuating circumstances and your child is injured or seriously ill for a period of over 4 weeks and cannot participate in any way, a credit may be possible on your account, for future programs. 
  • A refund request form must be completed, accompanied with a doctor’s note and if approved, will be less a $20.00 administration fee 
  • If approved, your refund will be e-transferred to you or a credit will go onto your child’s account at your request.
  • The Membership Fee is  non refundable.
  • Allow 2 weeks for processing any refund requests.
  • Credits may not be redeemed for cash.

Parents/Guardians/Relatives can:

  • Videotape or photograph their child: after class, by making arrangements with the coach, or during  Achievement Weeks, up to 5x per year.
  • share pics of their child only 
  • Videotape or photograph their child:During special events such as competitions, photos may be taken of a child or group with the parents’ direct consent.
  • Share videos or photos to All  Star for the purpose of marketing
  • Obtain consent by any coach or staff member you plan to photograph or videotape and approve of what is to be shared. 

Parents/Guardians/Relatives cannot:

  • Videotape or photograph any child or group of children in any program at All Star Sports Centre that is not your family member., to protect our members privacy.
  • Post or share any pics of any children other than your own or coach without prior permission from the parent and coach.
  • Take pics or videos of any other children without consent from the parent and or coach.
  • Use flash while taking photos or videos
  • View inappropriate material on their devices while in the viewing or common areas. This will result in immediate removal and a ban from the facility.

 

Staff 

  • Staff may photograph or videotape only if the parent has given consent for the purpose of promotion, acknowledgement of an achievement, technical use, education, etc.
  • Photos and videos taken for gymnasts whose parents have provided consent, for the purpose of marketing belong to All Star Sports Centre
  • Any photos or videos must be appropriate, respectful and dignifying in nature.
  • Photos or videos used for teaching must be deleted after use.
  • Consent must be obtained by any coach you plan to photograph or videotape.
  • A club video for a certain program may be made as a keepsake for all in the Program with parental consent. A copy of the video will be given to each parent.

 

Athletes

  • Gymnasts may not videotape or photograph other children in the facility without permission from the parent and supervision from staff.
  • taking photos and or videos are not allowed in the change rooms or washroom areas
  • Viewing inappropriate material on a device while in the gym or in common areas will result in immediate suspension and potential revoking of membership. 
  • At All Star, it is expected that all members treat each other with dignity, kindness and respect. 
  • All Star Sports Centre has zero tolerance for negativity, bullying,  harassment or abuse of any kind.
  • Name-calling, body shaming, demeaning remarks, yelling, swearing, violence, threats, physical or mental bullying or harm and any other forms within the socially accepted definitions, will not be tolerated. 
  • Bullying and Harassment can be in person, inside or outside the facility, online, or in messages.
  • Any complaints brought forth must be in writing with full disclosure of the complainant and the accused.
  • Serious complaints may involve our HR representatives, Gymnastics Ontario, the authorities and or community services as they may be beyond our scope and expertise,  in order to protect a child or staff member. 
  • Behavior that affects the quality of programs for other students in any class is considered serious and can be cause for loss of membership
  • Our goal is resolution and discontinued inappropriate behavior. 
  • Requests for investigation beyond an incident report completed by the coach, will incur a $50.00 / hourly fee paid for by the party found to be responsible or it may be shared if it is determined there is a shared responsibility. 
  • Complaints will be thoroughly investigated to a degree that is feasible for the company and parties involved, at the discretion of the company, according to available resources.
  • Termination of membership may be required at the discretion of All Star Sports Centre in extreme cases that  cause physical or mental harm or potential harmful to it’s members. 
  • Classes or training may be suspended at any time, if a complaint is brought forth. 
  • Parents will be notified and meetings will ensue with the child present to hear both sides. 
  • Parties will likely be required to meet together.
  • Students may be questioned to learn what was witnessed. 
  • Bullying, intimidation or harassment of any kind toward any staff member by another member including an athlete or parent will result in immediate cancellation of membership. 
  • All students are auto-enrolled June 20th, for the new season beginning in July.
  • This gives students currently enrolled the first opportunity to be registered in their same or new class.
  • If there is a class change expected, please notify the office via email and provide the details. 
  • If you do not wish to do classes in the summer, simply email the office by the 15th of June to drop your child from their class(es) for the month of July.
  • This helps keep classes consistent, minimize and simplify the registration process.
  • Registrarion will be open to new members June 21st for the new season. 

Full Accessibility Policy & 5-Year Plan

All Star Sports Centre Accessibility Policy

Commitment:
All Star Sports Centre is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities, treating them with dignity and independence, removing and preventing barriers, and meeting obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Ontario Human Rights Code, and other applicable laws.

Scope:
This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, and persons providing goods, services, or facilities on behalf of the Company.

Definitions:
Disability includes physical, mental, learning, developmental impairments, or injuries covered under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997.

Training:

  • Provided to all staff, volunteers, and policy developers.
  • Covers AODA requirements, Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IAS), and Ontario Human Rights Code.
  • Formats: orientation sessions, online modules, policy distribution, acknowledgment/sign-off.
  • Records maintained and updated whenever policy changes.

Information & Communication Standards:

  • Verbal: Speak directly, maintain eye level, clear language, visual demonstrations, extra processing time.
  • Written: Large print, high-contrast, bullet points, Easy Read style, translated materials, screen-reader compatible PDFs.
  • Digital: Alt text, captions, headings, accessible forms, chat/email alternatives, video calls with interpreters.
  • Emergency Information: Provided in accessible formats.

Employment Standards:

  • Recruitment, hiring, and employment practices accommodate disabilities.
  • Consultations for accommodations during employment, performance management, career development, redeployment, and emergency response.
  • Accessible formats and support available throughout the employment lifecycle.

Customer Service Policy:

  • Assistive devices, service animals, and support persons accommodated.
  • Service animals may require identification; prohibited areas include both gyms.
  • Program fees: Support persons may have nominal fees if participation is required.
  • Temporary disruptions: notifications posted on website, social media, and premises.
  • Feedback: Multiple accessible channels, response within 3-5 business days.

Facilities Standards:

  • Compliance with Design of Public Spaces Standards.
  • Self-service kiosks designed for accessibility.

Policy Maintenance:

  • Reviewed at least every five years.
  • Posted on the company website under Policies page.
  • Policies not promoting dignity, independence, integration, and equality will be revised or removed.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

General

ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE strives to meet the needs of its employees and customers with disabilities and is working hard to remove and prevent barriers to accessibility. 

ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE is committed to fulfilling our requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.   

It’s our goal to offer an environment that accommodates all persons, and we are committed to constant improvements for the benefit of our staff, our members, and visitors. It is also our goal to identify any possible barriers for people with a disability and work toward removing them.

This accessibility plan outlines the steps we are taking to meet those requirements and to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.  Our plan shows how we will play our role in making Ontario an accessible province for all Ontarians. The plan is reviewed and updated at least once every 5 years. We train every person as soon as practicable after being hired and provide training in respect of any changes to the policies. We maintain records of the training provided including the dates on which the training was provided and the number of individuals to whom it was provided.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE is taking steps to become the most accessible friendly facility as possible and recognizes improvements will be an ongoing process. This plan is in compliance with the requirements set by the Government of Ontario.

BARRIERS FOR ACCESSIBILITY:

Facility

1) No automatic door or doorbell at the entrance

2) Service counter inaccessible for those in a wheelchair 

3) 3 of 5 emergency exits are accessible without stairs

4) Emergency exit signs required updating

5) Facility was lacking accessibility signage 

6) Needed to identify wheelchair parking

7) Create a specialized area for viewing programs and during events

8) Gyms are not accessible for those with wheelchairs due to the uneven surfaces 

9) Some programs are on the mezzanine level with no elevator

Communications

  1. Website was inaccessible for persons with accessibility needs
  2. Documents were not offered in multiple formats, large print, etc.
  3. Communication to staff can be at times complex – need to train Managers on simplicity of communication for those with accessibility needs.
  4. Some staff were unable to read or conduct testing and report cards without assistance.

Programs

1) Some programs are unable to accommodate children with accessibility needs

Training

  1. Proving staff training to multiple staff with varying schedules – gym is operating 7 days per week
  2. Training staff many of whom are students 
  3. Training for staff on incorporating children with accessibilities in recreational programs.
  4. Train Managers on simplifying communication when needed
  5. Aid staff and others with completing evaluations/testing /report cards for their students

 

2026 STATUS UPDATE:

For 2026, ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE will be putting the following into place:

1) Create, distribute, and enact this policy and plan – Completed

2) Identify wheelchair parking – Completed 

3) Create an accessible website – Completed 

4)   Offer documents in large print and Word (screen reader friendly) – Near Completion 

5)   Identify wheelchair washroom – Completed

6) Aid those requiring an accessible washroom – Implemented

7)   Repair lights for emergency exits – Completed

8)   Add signage for washrooms and service counter – Completed 

9)   Training for staff on coaching gymnasts with disabilities – Near Completion

10) File Accessibility Compliance Report by April 15th – Completed

11) Provide separate designated specialized seating area for all in house events and aid – Implemented

12) Provide emergency response training – Near Completion

13) Train managers further on communication with those who have accessibility needs – Near Completion 

14) Meet with the owner of the building about adding an automatic door or a doorbell for the office team to assist with opening the door to the front entrance – Near Completion

By the end of 2026, ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE will be fully compliant with all Accessibility requirements from the Government of Ontario:

Exceptions for Accessibility

1) Gyms are not accessible for those with wheelchairs due to the uneven surfaces and limited space between events.

2) We cannot alter the building and are unable to install an elevator therefore some programs and viewing areas will be inaccessible only to those in wheelchairs.

Customer Service 

ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE is committed to providing accessible customer service that respects the principles of independence, dignity, integration, and equal opportunity for people with disabilities. Barriers to access will be identified, removed, and prevented in compliance with the AODA and the Ontario Human Rights Code. Individuals are permitted to use their personal assistive devices when accessing services, and where limitations exist due to health or safety concerns, alternative measures will be provided. Staff will receive ongoing training to ensure they are knowledgeable and comfortable supporting customers using various assistive devices.

ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE will communicate with individuals with disabilities in ways that meet their needs by offering multiple accessible communication methods, including in-person, phone, email, text, and digital platforms. Accessible supports such as large print materials, plain language documents, screen-reader compatible content, captioned videos, and assistance with forms will be available upon request at no additional cost. The Company will continue to work collaboratively with individuals to determine the most effective communication approach for their needs.

ACCESSIBLE COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION

Staff will use inclusive verbal practices such as speaking directly to participants, using clear and simple language, providing visual demonstrations, and allowing extra time for understanding. Written materials will be offered in accessible formats, upon request, including large print, high-contrast text, plain language, visual supports, and screen-reader compatible digital documents.

Digital and online communications will be designed for accessibility, including captioned videos, alt text for images, structured website content, and mobile-friendly, screen-reader compatible platforms. Multiple communication options will be available, such as text, email, phone, and virtual meetings. 

ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE will work collaboratively with individuals with disabilities to determine the most appropriate communication methods and supports.

Accessible formats and communication supports will be provided upon request in a timely manner and at no additional cost. ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE will consult with the individual to ensure suitability and will notify the public of availability through its website, signage, and printed materials.

A feedback process will be maintained and made accessible to persons with disabilities. Where information cannot be converted, ALL STAR SPORTS CENTRE will provide an explanation and a summary of the content.
