Whether you’re mastering fundamentals or advancing to complex techniques, our classes provide the perfect balance of skill-building, strength training, and flexibility work.

Our Specialized Gympro Classes are specially designed to cover essential areas such as handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, aerials, flips, and strength and flexibility training. Each class offers targeted progressions and drills tailored to prepare students for success in gymnastics, dance, cheerleading, and other sports.

Handstand Fundamentals

Ages: 6+ years

This class teaches the fundamentals of a strong, controlled handstand with focus on alignment, balance, and strength. Participants practice drills and progressions to safely develop handstand skills.

Class Focus:

  • Hand placement and shoulder engagement
  • Core and upper body strength
  • Balance and control exercises
  • Wall-supported and freestanding handstand practice


Pre-requisite:

  • Basic upper body strength and body awareness
  • Hold a plank for 20 seconds

Cartwheel Fundamentals

Ages: 6+ years

This specialized class is designed to help gymnasts learn, develop, and refine a proper cartwheel using safe, effective technique. Whether your child is working toward mastering their first cartwheel or improving form, this focused training will build confidence and control through step-by-step progressions.

Class Focus:

  • Correct hand and foot placement
  • Body alignment and balance
  • Controlled take-off and landing
  • Drills and progressions for both beginner and improving athletes


Pre-requisite:

To ensure readiness for skill development, athletes must be able to:

  • Hold a wall-supported handstand position (feet on wall) for 10 seconds
  • Complete 5 sit-ups with control
  • Hold a 20-second plank with proper form

This class is perfect for athletes who are ready to move beyond the basics and want to build a strong foundation for tumbling and acrobatics.

Advanced Cartwheels

Ages: 6+ years

This dynamic class is designed for athletes ready to elevate their cartwheel skills. Participants will learn and refine advanced variations, including one-handed cartwheels, push cartwheels (cartwheel with repulsion), dive cartwheels, and round-offs—the essential power skill for tumbling.

Class Focus:

  • One-handed cartwheel technique
  • Push cartwheel with repulsion
  • Dive cartwheel progressions
  • Round-off fundamentals
  • Strength-building and coordination drills

 

Pre-requisite:

To ensure readiness, students must demonstrate:
Strong, consistent basic cartwheel

  • 5 push-ups with proper form
  • 3-second handstand hold
  • Adequate arm and leg strength

This class is ideal for gymnasts, dancers, and cheerleaders seeking to improve tumbling foundations with precision and confidence.

Gym Flex

Ages: 6+ years

This class is designed to help participants improve their overall flexibility through targeted stretching exercises. You will work on splits, bridges, and stretches for legs, feet, toes, arms, back, wrists, and shoulders, progressing toward skills like walkovers and improved leaps.

Class Focus:

  • Leg and split stretches
  • Upper and lower body flexibility exercises
  • Bridge progressions
  • Full-body stretching routines

 

Pre-requisite:

  • Ready to work hard and commit to regular stretching
  • Minimum 8-week commitment recommended

Gym Strong

Ages: 6+ years

This class builds strength essential for gymnastics and other sports. Students will engage in exercises to develop upper body, lower body, core, and abdominal strength to support advanced skills and overall athleticism.

Class Focus:

  • Upper and lower body strength training
  • Core and abdominal conditioning
  • Functional strength exercises relevant to gymnastics
  •  

Pre-requisite:

  • Ready to work hard and commit to strength training
  • Minimum 8-week commitment recommended

Walkovers 101

Ages: 6+ years

Students will work toward mastering front and/or back walkovers by focusing on strength and flexibility exercises tailored to these skills.

Class Focus:

  • Front and back walkover technique
  • Flexibility and strength drills specific to walkovers
  • Controlled progressions for safe skill acquisition

Pre-requisite:

  • Able to perform short and long bridges
  • Near full side splits
  • Strong handstand with good body alignment

Aerials 101

Ages: 6+ years

This class helps participants learn side aerials and, if ready, other side aerial and aerial fronts. Training includes conditioning exercises, drills, and use of the tumble track to safely develop aerial skills with confidence and fun!

Class Focus:

  • Side aerial and aerial front technique
  • Conditioning and power drills
  • Progressions using tumble track and floor work

Pre-requisite:

  • Cartwheel mastery
  • Demonstrated leg power
  • Front walkover

Back Handsprings 101

Ages: 6+ years

In this class, students will learn or improve their standing back handspring through strength and flexibility training, drills, and correct body positioning.

Class Focus:

  • Standing back handspring technique
  • Strength and flexibility exercises
  • Safe progressions and drills

Pre-requisite:

  • Back walkover
  • Hold a tight-body handstand
  • Long bridge
  • 10 push-ups and 20 sit-ups
  • 30-second plank

Flips 101

Ages: 8+ years

Participants will learn the basics of back tuck, front tuck, and layout flips, with options to add round-offs, back handsprings, or step-outs. Training uses the floor, tumble track, and trampoline to build skill safely and effectively.

Class Focus:

  • Back tuck, front tuck, and layout techniques
  • Drills with round-offs and handsprings
  • Use of tumble track and trampoline for progression

Pre-requisite:

  • Straight/tuck jumps
  • Dive roll, back roll, back extension
  • Tight body positions
  • Round-off, front handspring, back handspring
