All Star Gymnastics Is Now All Star Sports Centre
Same management – same great staff and coaches! Our re-branding is more inclusive with new programs such as Cheerleading and Fitness and encompasses a new state-of-the-art web site with a member’s area and online registration.  For your convenience we have entered your information in our system to make your registration experience as easy as 1, 2, and 3!  A username and password have been sent to current members.  Login at www.allstarsportscentre.com  

Summer Camp Registration Already?
It’s hard to think about summer already but parents are planning for it now.  We expect advance registrations for summer camp again this year.  Our new web site makes it easy to reserve a spot for your child in the theme weeks of their choice.  Summer Camp sold out early last year!   Avoid disappointment – visit the web site and register your child today.  New! Jungle Gym Camp for 3 yr olds and Cheer Camp!

Girl’s GymStars Competition
Our GymStars competed in the girls GymStars in-house competition on March 1st.  Congratulations to all of our gymnasts!  We’re looking forward to their next one in June! Special thanks to all who helped run the competition. 

Registration for Summer Classes
Want to maintain your skills and learn new ones?  We are offering summer classes 1x or 2x per week during the summer months.  See office staff for details!  Register in person, online or by phone.

Cheerleading News
Join the fastest growing sport around!  Tryouts for next season will be held on Sunday June 1st and Sunday June 8th at 1PM for grades 2-7 and at 2PM for grades 8-12.  Book your tryout. No experience needed.  The new season will begin in July with evening classes and Cheer Camps running weeks 2,4,6,8! Check out our new Cheer Camp this summer!

Only 2 Months Until Swimsuits!
Did you know we have fitness classes right here at All Star?  Only a 2-month commitment. We offer a full range of classes including adult gym and adult trampoline! Sound like fun?  It is! So much fun that our adult trampoline and adult gym classes are almost full!  Let ‘Linda’, our expert Fitness Consultant get you into great shape for summer!  Don’t delay!  Check out the web site for details.

Our FunRaiser Helps Every All Star Athlete
Our 4th annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction was a big success!  We appreciate everybody who organized the event and all who attended.  We all got to know each other better, enjoyed fine food and danced to great tunes.

Competitive program FunRaisers help raise money to modernize equipment and systems so competitive and recreational athletes benefit.

Women’s Program
Our Women’s Competitive athletes returned from competing in Ottawa, Bracebridge, Base Borden and Newmarket in recent months with several awards and personal bests.  Winning all-round titles were Sammy Borges, Bridget McDonell, Alicia Veri, Melissa Veerasamie, Stephanie Campbell and Zuzanna Wandas.  Congratulations to Provincial Champion Samantha Borges!  Provincial event medalists included Melissa Veerasamie, Ashley Cruickshank, Amber Bimm and Caitlin Dubros. The team brought home 13 medals in total including 5 gold! , In the National Open Category Khamica Bingham won all round bronze and qualified for National Championships in Calgary in June. All athletes and coaches did a tremendous job!    Our youngest members won many medals a the Junior Jungle Challenge in  Richmond Hill and all competitive gymnasts will be competing at our own All Star Gymnastics Challenge at Humber College May 24 & 25th. Go All Star!

Men’s Program
Great News!  Our men’s program is growing so we have hired a new Men’s Competitive Program Head Coach to start July 1st.  He brings with him a Level 3 NCCP certification and 15 years experience coaching at the national level.   More info to come.

Competitive Program Recommendations
Coaches sometimes recommend gymnasts to a higher level.  If your child is recommended for an advanced or competitive program, give it a try!  The gymnasts are always happiest when they are training at a challenging level.  Advanced programs are considerably discounted to keep them affordable.

Winner of Carnival Cruise!
Congratulations Cathy Dickenson!  Cathy won the cruise through our “Bring A Friend” promotion last fall and recently returned from her wonderful Caribbean Cruise!   Cathy has twin daughters - Paris and Mercedes who are both in our trampoline program with Coach Sean. 

All Star Hosts Major Competition at Humber College! – We need your help DADS!
On May 24 and 25th we will be the host club to the 2008 All-Star Gymnastics Challenge.  Staff and parents will run the competition with an expected attendance of over 2000 people!  The organizing committee is looking for GYMDADS to setup Friday and take down Sunday.  We need musclepower!!!  Please sign up on the Recreational Bulletin Board if you can help!  Dads who help will receive 4 free weekend passes to the event.  Your help is appreciated!  All Gymnasts are invited to attend the event as spectators.  Come - be inspired!!!
